The Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystems Services (IPBES) reported today, 6.5.2019:
1. The world’s biodiversity is vanishing fast with 1 million of Earth’s estimated 8 million plant and animal species are at risk of extinction.
2. Among the biggest threats to wildlife are habitat loss, climate change and pollution
3. Animals and plants are disappearing and so is the land they rely upon for natural habitat
4. Habitat conversion drives biodiversity loss
5. Some of the last great rainforests are being wiped out
Even if Trump & Co.are yawning, what are our EU MEP’s doing, and what are China and India doing?
This is not a time to worry about trade deals – now is the time to act responsibly.
